Lanzillotti - Alto Miss Lanzillotti's early theatrical experience was in off-Broadway presentations from which she soon moved upwards to operettas, Broadway, Television and Film. She has starred in musicals and can be heard on the Broadway cast album of "The Happiest Girl in the World". She is a recipient of a George Gershwin Award and she has premiered and recorded works by Martin Kalmanoff. Miss Lanzillotti made her opera debut by the acclaimed portrayal of the sultry Maddalena in Rigoletto with the Honolulu Opera. It was at that time that she was noticed by the impresario of the Philadelphia Grand Opera Co., and he invited her to sing six major roles in the upcoming Season. Afterwards she was engaged to sing lead roles in opera companies and in concerts, oratorio, and as soloist with orchestras in the United States, Canada, South America, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Central America. She has performed in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bangladesh and Indonesia with Opera and Concert Productions Worldwide Ltd., and in Asia and Japan with Polynesian Enterprise. Miss Lanzillotti was most recently seen in the off-Broadway production of Yes! as Mrs. Winthrop and in the Queens Soldier as Elizabeth and Tralin, Marise in The Art of Being Happily Married, and the Mother in Tales from the Vienna Woods. Future engagements include the Verdi Requiem, Stabat Mater, Brahms Rhapsody, Beethoven Ninth Symphony, The Messiah, the Principessa in Suor Angelica, and the nurse in L'incoronazione di Poppea. |
